| MEET OUR STAFF and explore JP and our Mission |
My name is Valerie Schechter I have been a licensed Real Estate broker in JP for twenty six years.I graduated from Law School eight years ago , decided I could not give up what I loved doing, and wanted to do it better than most agencies! I have always felt that Real Estate is a service industry and our job is to listen to our customers, Landlords , Tenants, Buyers and Sellers, not sell to them. Listening and matching property to customers is what we do best. I opened JP Rentals & Sales so we could offer the level of service I think customers deserve. We are MATCH MAKERS, not Real Estate sales people! Our job is to listen to our customers and do our best to fill their needs. We are a boutique, independent office in the very personal business of finding people a home. We do not answer to corporate headquarters, we answer to you! I am proud of what we have accomplished. I am proud to be the Mom of Sarah Schechter, a self made Vice President at Warner Bros Film Studios in L.A., who made last years Fade In Magazine's "Top 100 people to Know in Hollywood". Yes, I do know her! Who'd have thought! Valerie Schechter-Klein |

The mile and 1/4 path around the pond is perfect for jogging, feeding the ducks or even fishing for the stocked bass and salmon (get a license first at Chuck's Bike Shop, PLEASE!) A romantic summer evening is well spent here, as is a family picnic or a day with the puppies!contact us Pondside |
Our Inspiration. Matthew was brutally beaten and left to die in Laramie Wyoming because he was gay. His bloodied face only showed the tracks of his tears when he was found 18 hours after being tied to a rural fence post in freezing temperatures to die alone. When Matthew died, Judy, his Mom put up a Memorial website for Matthew, and has become the director of The Matthew Shepard Foundation. The foundation actively fights hatred and bigotry in all forms in Matt's honor. We in this wonderfully diverse community, Jamaica Plain, are committed as a community to tolerance and acceptance. We are a shining example of how it should be, could be, everywhere in this country. We support all of Judy's efforts and hold the memory of Matthew in our hearts. We are proud to be members of the Matthew Shepard Foundation and support all anti hate causes.Matt Shepard, In Our Hearts |
You have sponsored Flor from Mexico. Thank you!
Flor Marina lives with her parents and 1 sister. Her parents struggle to provide for the family. Her father is a farmer and her mother takes care of the household. Despite their efforts it is difficult to meet the family's needs. Flor Marina is growing up in a poor rural community in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Typical homes are made of sticks and palms. Rice, beans, corn tortillas, squash, nopal and sometimes chicken or beef make up most of the local diet. The climate is tropical and rainy, with temperatures averaging in the 80s. Flor Marina is not in school at this time. She likes to play with dolls. She helps at home by running errands. She is in good health. Our sponsorship commitment in the name of our customers will help provide Flor Marina and her community with better nutrition and improved health practices and hygiene. In addition, your support provides agricultural training and help starting small businesses so parents can raise the standard of living for their children. Love is the answer. Flor in Mexico |
